Camper hire prices in Tenerife

Slow Campers camper parked facing the sea in Tenerife

It's the question we're asked most before booking: how much does it cost to hire a camper in Tenerife? The honest answer is that it depends a lot on where you look. Checking what other companies and aggregators on the island publish, we've seen prices ranging from around €40 a day in low season to over €100, with most operators sitting somewhere between €60 and €85 a day depending on the vehicle and time of year.

Our price: €45 a day, no small print

At Slow Campers all our vans are the same price: €45 per day, with no distinction between models and no surprise extras sprung on you at the last minute. What you see is what you pay.

How the deposit works (and why there's no payment gateway)

When you book online, we work out the total price for your dates and ask for a 30% deposit to hold them for you. We don't use a payment gateway: the deposit is paid by bank transfer or in person, and the rest is settled when you pick up the camper. No automatic holds on your card and no hidden charges.

That same pick-up day is also when you leave the security deposit — what to bring, how much it is and when it's returned, all explained in documents and deposit when hiring a camper.

A real example

A week (7 nights) with us comes to €315 in total, with a €94.50 deposit to secure the booking. You can see the exact price for your dates and check availability instantly in our fleet finder.

What to look out for when comparing prices

  • Whether the price includes insurance and mileage, or whether these are extra.
  • Whether there's a surcharge for pick-up somewhere other than the base.
  • Whether the deposit is paid separately and when it's returned.
  • Whether the price rises in high season (with most operators, it does).
